Education is #1-
The value of an education can never be underestimated.
It should be the #1 priority of every young player. Our focus
is on the opportunities that derive from being a quality student
-athlete. Every young player dreams of playing pro. However, the average
length of a NHL player’s career is 4.5 years. The odds of playing in the
NHL and actually making it your lively hood are minimal, but it is possible.
The odds are much higher in playing college hockey. If a young player
develops on the ice and in the classroom he may have a chance to get his
degree and receive a scholarship, which is the ultimate reward.
We will discuss all aspects of education, as well as, the process of choosing a school.

facets of life. To have success as a constant requires character. Many will experience short-term
success but to achieve long term success requires mental toughness.
The difference with success, or lack of, is simply work ethic. Many people get complacent when they
achieve a certain level of success. The people that are diligent in their work always want more out
of life. They exemplify the character and work ethic needed to attain long term success. Successful
people use many of the same characteristics they learned in sports and apply them in the business world.

amount of time is dedicated to each goal. The self -satisfaction associated with achieving a goal(s)

it is imperative that players and parents are educated in this area. There are many questions
surrounding off-ice training and we will provide accurate information.
The ability to increase body strength properly will increase the chance of playing at a higher
level. It benefits a player’s skating, shooting, puck control and overall game immensely. However,
there are no short cuts and many of the techniques and philosophies of strength and conditioning are linked to maturity.

or destroyed because of these addictions. The importance of being educated on these topics is
paramount to the quality of life attained.
